Meditation for Busy People

Join Lukas Cash is in a refreshing time of guided meditation. Meditation, while practiced in many faiths,
is not exclusive to one religion. Meditation is simply moving your brain into a different wavelength, so that
you are free to focus on inward issues. This class is not partial to any faith, and will remain an objective
atmosphere that all can enjoy. Lukas will discuss the benefits of meditation, and show you the obstacles that
may hinder your focus.

Students are encouraged to bring a mat or blanket if they are most comfortable on the floor, but chairs will be available for those who want to meditate without straining their body.

The Blogging World

Lukas Cash, enthusiastic blogger wants to introduce you the world of do-it-yourself publication. Web logging,
blogging for short, is growing in popularity, due mostly to the fact that it is free, and incredibly user-friendly. By setting up a blog, people are instantly given their own mini-website where they are free to express opinions on whatever subjects they are interested in.

This Saturday workshop will show you the various uses of blogs, from setting up a platform to discuss political issues to maintaining an announcement tree for your church or other organization. You will learn which free blogging sites offer which features, and be given step by step instruction in setting up your personal blog.

Arabic for Beginners

Join Elseddik Abdelkader to learn the basics of one of the oldest languages in the world. Classes will introduce the Arabic alphabet, basic Arabic phrases, and sentence structure. This class is designed specifically for those with little to no experience with the Arabic language.

Summer Book Club: Exploring Dante’s Inferno

A self-described “perpetual student”, Richard Seddon wants to introduce you to the beautiful poem that many reference, but few understand: Dante’s Inferno. Does a snowball stand a chance in Hell? Who is in Hell? What does the devil look like? Answer all these questions and more as you delve through this historically celebrated poem. Each student will need his or her own verse translation of inferno, and supplies to take notes.
