BAAS, Concentration in Liberal Arts

Our Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science(BAAS), Concentration in Liberal Arts will help you use your prior academic experience to complete your bachelor's degree.

This program is a flexible concentration that will allow you to focus on areas of study that will contribute to your professional development. Liberal arts studies provide skills and abilities relevant to every career field and prepare you for a lifetime of learning. If you pursue this concentration, you'll receive a complete, balanced selection of coursework and an in-depth study in a single discipline.

Do I Qualify for This BAAS Program?

You can enter our BAAS Program to earn your first bachelor's degree. To qualify you must have one of the following:

  1. An Associate of Applied Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree from an institution with accreditation recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  2. Have earned at least 30 credit hours in a career-technical related discipline from an institution with accreditation recognized by the CHEA.

The applied arts and sciences faculty are committed to responsible academic advising. This means we help you schedule the right courses at the right time to help you take the next step in your professional career. Faculty members are specialists in their areas of advising and are current with requirements for admission into the programs they advise so you get the academic advice you need, when you need it.

Service and Mutual Interest Organizations

If you would like to get more involved, ENMU provides the opportunity to use the skills you'll gain while working on your degree to hold leadership positions in our many organizations. At ENMU, you will be able to explore more than 50 student organizations that range from academic, cultural, multicultural, service, special interest and fraternities/sororities. If you see a need for an organization we don't have, you can even start your own.

Career Opportunities in Liberal Arts

When you receive a BAAS degree with a liberal arts concentration, you can look forward to an enhanced career in your field. This might include new opportunities in management or a new career in a related field. Career Services offers free job placement assistance to all ENMU students, so if you are looking for another position, we can help you find it.

BAAS Concentration: Liberal Arts 

The BAAS program requires you to complete 120 hours to earn your bachelor's degree. Within those 120 hours, you must complete General Education Requirements, a primary concentration and a secondary concentration.
