The Campus Union houses the Office of Student Activities and Organizations. This area of student life produces a wide variety of activities throughout the year including talent shows, comedians, performing artists, recreational activities, spirit events, leadership programs, community service opportunities and multicultural events. The Associated Students Activities Board (ASAB) traditionally takes an active role in organizing and publicizing many of these programs. Students are encouraged to join ASAB to enhance leadership skills, build peer networks and fully settle into their new campus community.
The activities office also serves as the focal point for registered student organizations on campus, ranging from academic/professional, honorary and graduate to religious, recreational, multicultural and special interest. Stop by our office for more contact information on any registered student organization. If you do not find a group you like, you can start your own; We will walk you through the steps it takes to register a new student organization on campus.
Your first chance to meet other students and have lots of fun on campus is at Dawg Days. It occurs on the weekend before the start of classes each fall semester.
For more information about student activities, ASAB, registered student organizations, the Campus Community Involvement Record or Dawg Days, please stop by the Campus Union, Room 104, or call 575.562.2108
