Miss Native American Application
Native American Affairs will award a $200 scholarship to the winner and $75 to the runner up. In addition, the Miss Photogenic winner will receive $25.

Checklist
The application process requires submitting the following items to the Miss Native American ENMU Pageant Committee:
- Miss Native American ENMU Application-which consists of:
- Official Entry Application
- Contemporary Talent/Skill information
- Traditional Talent/Skill Information
- Contestant Agreement
- A display of two current photographs (one contemporary and one traditional) presented on a poster board to be approved by Nov. 5, 2009.
- Please note: The photographs are required for participation in the Miss Photogenic 2009-2010 competition on November 6th during lunch in CUB Lobby.
- Certification of Indian Blood or Tribal Affiliation (CIB). Need a copy.
- Proof of Age (driver’s license or Identification). Need a copy.
- One Letter of Recommendation (examples: faculty, staff member, previous employer or peer).
- Application deadline and orientation is Oct. 28, 2009 (no exceptions).
Contestants will compete in the Following Categories:
- Orientation with Native American Affairs Office (Oct. 28, 2009)
- Photogentic Contest will be November 6, 2009 (by voting)
- Public Speaking Competition
- Explain Outfit either Traditional OR Contemporary outfit
- Talent competition
- Traditional talent or contemporary talent
Requirements:
- Native American Woman Between the ages of 18-25
- Be at least ¼ Native American, and have a CIB number
- Not Married and have no children
- Full-time ENMU Student
- Have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better

Pageant Itinerary
- Photogenic Contest:November 6, 2009 From 11am to 1pm in the Cub Lobby. Winner by student voting will recieve $25.00 Scholarship raised by Native American Affairs Office.
- Competition:Public Speaing and Talent Competition: November 18, 2009 at 6pm in Becky Sharp.
- Crowning of Miss Native ENMU 2009-2010: Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner at 6pm CUB Ballroom. All family members MUST RSVP by November 13, 2009. Mandotory event. Winner will receive $200.00 scholarship raised by the Native American Affairs Office. Must sign contract and perform at the potluck.
