Mass communication scholar Marshall McLuhan wrote in 1964, "The medium is the message." This idea that the media through which we communicate influences the messages still holds true today. A Communication and broadcast journalism degree from ENMU equips students with the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to thrive in the dynamic field of broadcasting.

Similar to print journalism, broadcasting has experienced significant transformations over the past century. Radio and television networks emerged in the early 1900s, and now journalists are facing the rapid growth of digital and Internet technology.
