Future Freshmen

Coming to Eastern is easy! Just follow these six steps and you'll find yourself ready for the first day of classes in no time.

Step 1

Arrange a campus visit at your earliest convenience. The best way to get a feel for ENMU is to be here. Campus visits can be arranged around your schedule on Monday through Friday, and some Saturdays. Sign up online or call our office at 800.FOR.ENMU to schedule your visit.

Step 2

Apply for Admission to ENMU after your junior year in high school. Scholarships cannot be awarded until you are accepted. Visit your high school counselor/registrar and request a copy of your transcripts to be sent to:

For GED recipients, send your certificate showing your completion date (required). Have your ACT and SAT scores sent to ENMU. Eastern's ACT code is 2636 and the SAT code is 4299 (required).

Step 3

After we receive your ACT or SAT scores and high school transcript, call the Advising Center at 575.562.2338 or 888.ENMU.ADV to set up an advising appointment.

Step 4

Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) starting January 1. Our priority deadline is February 14, but you can still apply any time after that. Apply for scholarships. Obtain a FAFSA from your counselor’s office, or apply to the FAFSA online. ENMU’s FAFSA code is 002651. To apply for admissions scholarships, send the completed Application for Admissions Scholarships to our office by the March 1 priority deadline.

Step 5

Explore housing and meal plan options. An application for a residence hall room, along with a $150 deposit, must also be submitted if you wish to live in a campus residence hall. View additional housing information. Send your housing information to:

Step 6

Attend orientation (Dawg Days). You may take care of additional issues you might need to complete before classes begin.
