The Associated Students of ENMU (ASENMU) provides students a voice in University governance and helps provide services for students. ASENMU is made up of three branches: the executive branch, the legislative branch and the judicial branch.
The Executive branch is comprised of a president, his/her board of directors and a vice president. The legislative branch is the student senate consisting of elected representatives from each of the colleges. The judicial branch consists of an attorney general and a supreme court.
Student Body President Timothy Harris
"I am immensely confident that the 2016-17 academic year will be a year that ASENMU is able to facilitate innovations for the betterment of the student body in an unprecedented way."
In spring 2016, the student body of Eastern New Mexico University elected Mr. Timothy Harris as the 2016-17 student body president. Harris is a third-year communications major with an emphasis in journalism. He originated from Fort Worth, Texas and has attended ENMU since graduating high school in Clovis, New Mexico.
Harris has been a part of ASENMU since his freshman year and has held leadership positions including director of publications, student lobbyist, board member of the student fee allocation board, and director of public relations for ENMU Up 'Til Dawn. Harris has received awards for being an outstanding contributor to ASENMU as well as an outstanding director. His vision for the 2016-17 school year includes furthering the constructive work that has historically been fulfilled by ASENMU members in a transparent and forthright fashion to foster continued trust and accessibility between the student body and ASENMU.

Student Body Vice President Joshua Alvarez
"I am very excited to work with an amazing senate that will fully represent the student body in all matters and execute all plans for the betterment of the University and students."
In spring 2016, the student body of Eastern New Mexico University elected Mr. Joshua Alvarez as the 2016-17 student body vice president. Alvarez is a third year communicative disorders major with an emphasis in health and human services. He originated from Randleman, NC and has attended ENMU since graduating high school in Chaparral, New Mexico.
Alvarez has been a part of ASENMU for over a year; his ASENMU leadership positions have included student lobbyist and board member of the student fee allocation board. He also attended the One Big Thanks Conference at Texas A&M to learn more about community service.

Student Government Meetings and Documents
The elected student government senate distributes senate bills to various student organizations, individual students and makes recommendations to the administration on University policy.
ASENMU is also comprised of sub-committees:
