Interview Preparation

Questions Interviewers Frequently Ask Potential Employees

  • Tell me about your past work experience.
  • What are the top three priorities in your life?
  • What do you want to be doing five years from now?
  • What motivates you to put forth greatest effort?
  • Why should I hire you?
  • How do you handle conflict?
  • In what ways can you make a contribution to our organization?
  • How good are you at managing money?
  • What are your greatest strengths?
  • In what areas do you need to grow?
  • What is your greatest weakness?
  • What methods do you use to keep your life organized?

It's a good idea to have at least one question prepared to ask the interviewer.

Practice Makes Perfect

Try practicing by setting up a mock interview with a trusted friend or family member. Have him or her ask you each of these questions, and do your best to answer as you would in an actual interview.

What Do You Know?

Do your own research on the company you're interviewing with. This will demonstrate your interest in the job and give you more to talk about with the interviewer.
