Job Summary: NBC 17 is currently seeking an Account Executive:
Must have sales experience, proven track record of success & the ability to create, develop, lead, and close sales opportunities. Must also possess the ability and experience to facilitate major, multi-facetted projects, strategic planning, decision making, negotiation skills, public speaking, verbal and written communication, budgeting, conflict resolution, creativity, computer literacy and time management. Must be a team oriented seller, be organized and detailed, and assist in collections including delinquent accounts. Goals are to sell and service a list of existing accounts as well as generating new business. Must be able to identify customer needs through C.N.A.'s and have the ability and creativity to develop solutions to meet those needs. Establish and maintain business relationships with local clients and agencies. Be abreast of changes and trends in local market conditions and share with the sales team. Recommend ideas for new sales development. Regularly analyze and review sales development and progress with sales management. Maintain records of sales and service calls to ensure clear, logical follow-up review process. Position Requirements: Prior Broadcast/TV/Radio Advertising experience, knowledge of rating book, broadcast language, and methods by which TV is bought and sold. Strong communication skills both oral and written. Computer literacy a must. Success driven professional, able to handle a list and develop new business.
