Job Summary: Perform distributed mission operations (DMO) simulation exercise development, planning and execution for theater level projects and events. Coordinate with a multitude of weapons systems across joint services and coalition partners to construct a Virtual and Constructive exercise enabling warfighter training both local and distributive. The candidate will organize mission planning and coordination with 705 Combat Training Squadron project officers and exercise directors to formulate a viable exercise to meet warfighter training objectives through a network of high fidelity simulators. The candidate will be a subject matter expert in a current USAF, Navy, Marine or Army weapons system that participates in ACC's Virtual Flag Exercises.
The selected candidate must be capable of formulating courses of action to develop training scenarios that support theater specific training and are tailored to warfighter needs, objectives and formal training requirements. He or she will interface with virtual participants both on the operations and tactical fronts to ensure mission objectives are obtainable for each exercise/event. The candidate may provide guidance, recommendations and support to the 705 CTS for improving product quality, fidelity and proper representation during each exercise.
Candidate will be able to provide background instruction, exercise participation as White Force cadre through environment generator support, mission planning and mission observations and training assessment. Candidate will support the build of a comprehensive and dynamic threat lay down in concert with blue force objectives and understand current Tactic, Techniques and Procedures employed by Combatant and Air Component Commanders.
Candidate should have familiarity with mission training simulators, understand joint and coalition service interactions and be capable of working with combat related software/hardware for mission planning and exercise development.
Qualifications: Degree Requirements: Bachelor's Degree (Applied Statistics, Ops Research, Engineering or related technical discipline) with 5 years relevant operational experience.
Relevant Experience (amount and type): Military service related experience conducting mission skill sets as outlined in the responsibilities and duties. Current or prior rated experience in a weapon system that supports the responsibilities and duties outlined above.
Degree Requirements: Master's Degree (Applied Statistics, Ops Research, Engineering or related technical discipline) with 3 years of operational experience.
Instructor pilot/WSO or comparable in a fighter system or weapon system with mission / roles commiserate with duties outlined above. Formal instructor course graduate highly desired (Weapons School (any MWS) or FTU or other applicable system course).
C2/AOC experience is a plus. JPRC or PRC experience highly desired. UAV/ISR experience desirable.
Individual will support many mission sets and must have a dynamic thought process for problem solving and flexibility for mission/objective creep. Maintaining relative currency will be a challenge and the individual must be capable of self training within his/her area of expertise.
