Workforce Development Administrative Aide - Panhandle Regional Planning Commission

Job Summary: Performs routine administrative support and/or technical program assistance work. Work involves disseminating information and processing and amintaining records associated with Workforce Development programs. Works under moderate supervision with limited latitude for use of initiative and independent judgement.

Qualifications: Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations relevant to program area; workforce training program intake procedures.
Skill/Ability to: establish effective working relationships with coworkers, contractors, training institutions, employers, program participants, and the general public; demonstrate proficiency in both oral and written communication; operate a computer using standard work processing and spreadsheet software packages; maintain clerical records and files; organize data; type accurately at a speed of at least 50 words per minute.

Duties: Maintains security and retention of official and departmental files, policies, and boadr records, including storage and disposal per federal and state requirements;
Helps prepare mailouts and assists at meating of policy boards and other groups;
Assists with preparation of plans, policies, and evaluation processes;
Assists with preparation and maintenance of procurements, contracts, and memoranda of understanding;
Assistss with processing and maintenance of online training program certification applications and related records;
Facilitates staff access to all workforce-related automated systems, including client inofrmation, labor exchange, Texas Workforce Commission Mainframe and Intranet, and TExas Health and Human Services systems;
Maintains up to date knowledge of local, state and federal guidelines and policies governing workforce training programs;
Attends workshops and meetings as required.
