Job Summary: As an Operations Intern/Trainee we’ll teach you the fundamentals of facility operations and logistics, as well as commodity procurement. Training is conducted within a mentorship framework, necessitating a high degree of interaction with management. By giving you progressive responsibility and customer contact, our facility management program helps you develop the necessary skills to safely and profitability manage a facility.
Qualifications: Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Operations, Manufacturing or related field
Strong organizational, communication, analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to work and communicate effectively with internal and external customers with differing perspectives
Positive and self-motivated attitude
Willingness to work in a plant environment
Able to relocate to other facilities for job growth/advancement
Duties: Operation and effective maintenance of the facility and machinery
Facilitate product shipment and delivery
Grain grading, conditioning and monitoring
Blend products to meet customer needs and maximize profitability
Develop and implement plant safety controls
Crew development and training
Develop a working knowledge of the relationship between operations and merchandising
