Job Summary: The Aerospace Corporation in Albuquerque, NM is searching for a qualified aplicant to fill the position of a Project Engineer.

Qualifications: Requirements include eight years of systems engineering in such areas as requirements analysis and flow down, program control, change control, system interfaced control, performance assessment, technology, and system architecting, with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in engineering, science, or equivalent.Demonstrated execution skill in a technical environment including formulating task plans is required.Demonstrated execution, analysis and product development capabilities, as evidenced through examples of recent integrated products are required.Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, organizational and team building skills are required.Knowledge of Aerospace Engineering and Technology Group (ETG) skills and capabilities is required.
Ability to work in a self-motivated and directed manner with customer personnel on a variety of technical, programmatic, and administrative issues is required.Experience in the analysis of complex technical programmatic, and management environments is required.Knowledge of DOE/NNSA missions and capabilities is highly desired.Candidates must be eligible for a Top Secret and Q clearance.SCI is preferred.

Duties: Provide support for NNSA in their Life Extension Programs (LEPs) and will support the NNSA federal workforce in Albuquerque.The focus of this position is project or program level system engineering and integration (SE&I) for the Department of Energy (DoE) National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Provide technical support of Systems Engineering, Mission Assurance, Systems Architecting, Technology planning and assessments, functions within the Advanced Studies and Analysis Subdivision, NASA Programs Division. Support studies and analysis in support of technical and organizational decision-making on programs and projects.Work includes the development, evaluation and execution of systems engineering and mission assurance processes and practices, program-level and organizational effectiveness assessments, systems architecture studies, ad hoc studies, technology planning and evaluation, and technical and programmatic risk assessments.
Work collaboratively with NASA Programs Division program development and program execution managers and staff to fully leverage the Corporation's analytical capabilities in all relevant areas in support these customers.Interact directly with customers and maintain overall leadership responsibility in study planning, execution, review, and product delivery. Lead and participate in work execution and integrate technical analyses into high quality, unified final products.
The customer is the Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration.
