Director of Admissions/Records - ENMU-Roswell

Job Summary: The Director of Admissions and Records is primarily repsonsible for state, federal, and instutional reporting as it relates to Student Affairs including the department operations and management of the department budget and reports to the Vice President for Student Affairs. The Director is responsible for implementation and maintenance of SCT Banner Computer modules and tables, supervises office staff and provides customer service to all areas including students, staff, faculty and administration. Manages employees in the department and is responsible for the overall organization's policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications: Required Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of high education; four to five years related experience as per the specified essential functions listed above. Experience in office supervision in a higher education environment and must possess knowledge of all state and federal regulations and reporting requirements. Must be able to work flexible hours and have excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education.

Duties: Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; Oversees all aspects of the Admission and Records Office. Trains Admissions and Records staff in Banner and maintains Banner modules and forms once Banner is implemented; Approves and assigns security levels in the Banner Student Module; Processes beginning and end of term information in Banner Student Modules; Maintains an accurate database of all requests for information for institutional, state, and federal reporting as it pertains to student and course records; Chairs OTA, Nursing Selective Admission and Academic Standards Committees; Serves on the Enrollment Management, Mandatory Advising, Registration, Instructional Council, Marketing and Technology Committees; Reviews and approves or disapproves all appeals to requestion for in-state tuition waivers; Ensures that the University is in compliance with all Veteran Administration regulations. Oversees graduation and ceremony process; Maintains inventory list of physical property, supplies, and forms utilized by the Office of Admissions and Records. This candidate is also responsible for IPEDS, HED and Student Reporting requests and for the other reporting as assigned by the Vice President for Student Affairs. Maintains catalog files and submits appropriate requests for CIP approval from HED. Performs other duties as deem necessay or assigned.

The finalist for this position will be required to demonstrate their knowledge of the banner software system through a series of exercises requiring banner knowledge of the admissions and records process.
