Job Summary: The One Stop Coordinator coordinates the effective functions of service workflow delievered in the One Stop Center. Provides exceptional customer service to all internal and external customers and assists with admission, registration, financial aid, advising and testing. Creates, processes, and maintains, files, records, databases, forms, and related materials in accordance with university policies and procedures. Utilizes computerized systems to communicate with students in person, on the telephone and through electronic chat; learn Financial Aid processes and procedures through proper training. Being familiar with application requirements and deadlines; possess knowledge of federal and state Financial Aid regulations and the types of federal and state aid. Understand Admission and Records Registration processes and procedures through proper training. Recognize the assessment process and Testing Services as evidenced by understanding and able to explain the need for assessment, the requirements, and the times testing can be accessed, provides information regarding assessment requirements, exceptions and exclusions and provides study guides for Math, English and ESL tests. Understand the advising and retention process as evidenced by assisting with retention efforts as university and its academic programs and support services to assist students in persisting toward graduation. Comprehend the business office process as eveidnced by basic application of elementary accounting principles, the ability to walk a student through the online payment gateway to set up a payment plan or a refun account, answer general questions regarding a student's account. Respond to inquiries and researches, resolve problems; serve as an aoperational resource to other staff and/or students. Occasional travel in-state or out-of-state may be required. Performs other duties as deemed necessary or assigned.
Qualifications: Required Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and at least one year experience directly related to the duties and responsibilites specified above. Knowledge and understanding of student affairs in a Higher Education Institution; strong interpersonal and communication skills; the ability to work in a diverse environment; proficient in MS office; analytical evaluative and critiacal thinking skills; strong consultative and advisory skills; ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment; ability to maintain confidentiality and must be detail oriented and able to multi-task.
Preferred Three years' experience in a customer services environment with at least two years of experience as a supervisor; bilingual (English/Spanish); experience working in a Student Affairs/Student Services environment and experience working with SCT banner.
