We are seeking candidates who are comfortable in a fast-paced, agile development environment and have experience with modern technology stacks used to build rich web-based applications. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Qualifications: Required Technical Skills
•Strong understanding of one or more modern web application frameworks like node.js, Ruby on Rails/ROR, J2EE or ASP.NET
•Experience creating rich client-side/AJAX experiences using technologies like jQuery, Dojo or Prototype
•Experience with common SQL data layers like PostgreSQL, MySQL
•Can leverage structured formats like JSON, YAML, XML and related technologies to build scalable, testable RESTful applications
Desired Skills
•Configured or customized a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) or similar application stack
•Built enterprise scale applications using clustering, message queueing or similar technologies
•Built applications with current and forward-facing web standards like CSS3 and HTML5
•Experience with NoSQL technologies like MongoDB
•Leveraged map/reduce solutions like Hadoop to solve hard problems across large datasets
•Used Test-driven development (TDD) methodologies and automated unit testing tools
•Used Behavior-driven development (BDD) tools like Cucumber or RSpec
•Experience with languages such as C++, Python, Perl, Java or C#
Education/Experience
•Requires B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or comparable work experience)
Duties: •Design, code, test and deploy software products in an agile development environment using best-practices
•Collaborate within the product team and with security consultants to establish and refine requirements
•Rapidly prototype and refine applications based on user experience feedback
