The IT Technician assists in supporting all Information Technology (IT) issues such as PC/Server hardware & software, network administration, telecommunication systems. To support the IT Systems administrator in effort to maintain and improve services to the casino’s guests and its employees. Assists in providing technical assistance in the planning and operational functions of creative audiovisual productions as needed.

Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
Must qualify for licensing with the New Mexico Gaming Commission and New Mexico Racing Commission.
One year certificate from a college or technical school and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekend hours and overtime as business needs dictate.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
Results oriented, hands-on professional with the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and team members.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from others.
Previous customer service experience preferred.
Ability to work as part of a team and to promote cooperative approach between departments.
Ability to work unsupervised.

Duties: Repairs, maintains, troubleshoots, and installs PC systems, hardware, software, and PC peripherals.
Understands commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures.
Loads specified software packages such as operating system, word processing, or spreadsheet programs into PC.
Monitors system functions to verify correct system operation.
Answers employees’ inquires in person and via telephone concerning operations.
Monitors problem-tracking system and solves issues as they arise.
Diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems.
Replaces defective or inadequate hardware.
Performs cable pulling and installation of both Category 5 and 4-wire phone lines.
Escalates major problems to senior IT personnel for resolution.
Sets up equipment and lighting for live bands, video production, sound editing, conference room preparation, and LCD installation on the gaming floor as needed.
Learns and applies knowledge on current hardware and software improvements and packages.
Required to be on-call.
Ability to listen, follows directions, and learns new tasks.
Must work well under pressure, and meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines.
Must at all times demonstrate ethical and cooperative behavior with guests, co-workers and supervisors
Performs other duties as may be assigned by department and/or company management.
