Job Summary: University of Nebraska-Lincoln is searching for a qualified applicant to fill the position of a Producer.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s with major in journalism, broadcasting, communications, film making or a related field plus one year of television producing or directing experience required; equivalency considered. Demonstrated expertise with single camera and field production shooting; AVID or Final Cut editing; and multi-camera, studio, or remote directing and editing.
Duties: Produce, write, edit, and shoot for local productions. Produces and/or directs studio, remote, and web streaming projects. May set up web streaming equipment on location. May be called upon to perform as technical director (TD) for NET Television projects. Responsible for the development and management of project budgets and sound management of production and personnel resources within the authorized budget. Irregular hours and travel may be required on occasion.
