Job Summary: Responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory count. Inventory reporting shortages, overages and all inventory levels monthly to purchasing for replenishment. Classify, label and warehouse inventory for future use. Maintain organization and efficient processes for easy product retrieval. Maintain a record of all transfers and disposal. Coordinate and maintain equipment recycle program. Must implement and follow a control system to reduce damage, breakage and inventory obsolescence; work directly with purchasing, accounts payable, IT and vendor services.
Qualifications: Education
Two-year degree or work experience equivalent preferred, strong organizational techniques and general knowledge of a variety of basic topics, such as math, reading, basic accounting, typing etc.
Experience
Three years plus experience with inventory control and warehousing.
Skills
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organization and analytical skills. Ability to problem solve with strong math skills. Great interpersonal skills, efficiency in multitasking- transition from routine tasks to emerging issues and back again. Will have access to confidential and sensitive financial information must have ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion in these aspects.
Supervisory
No direct supervision.
Mental Demands
Ability to receive and analyze data and input to the computer.
Duties: Implement improvement processes and systems to help control cost, recognize general savings and maximizing available working capital.
Assist with writing and maintain accurate written procedures for all inventory control processes and functions.
Compiles and maintains inventory count records.
Verifies computations against physical count of stock; make error adjustments, investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
Minimize overstocks and removal of obsolete materials.
Ensure incoming product is receipted and managed appropriately according to procedure.
Ensure equipment is ready and available for production as and when required.
Provide routine information on inventory performance, monitor and evaluate consumables usage, costs, and scrap.
Coordinate and maintain equipment and furniture recycle program.
Reconciliation with accounting records.
Asset management.
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
Assists in maintaining the security and safety of the storage area.
Other related duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
May require evening or weekend hours.
