Job Summary: The Accounts Receivable Supervisor is responsible for all Student Account activities.
Qualifications: Required Qualifications
Two years related experience and/or Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience. This person must possess a thorough knowledge of accounts receivable/collection procedures and practices. Also, must have experience working with PC's.
Supervisory experience, knowledge of Banner software and familiarity with FERPA requirements preferred.
Duties: This employee maintains the Students Receivable subsidiary ledger and schedules, prepares student refund and student loan checks, reviews cash collection daily balancing, maintains the student deferred payment plan, prepares State gross receipts transmittal. The employee also supervises the cashier, third party biller, collections clerk, and third party work-study students. Performs cashier, billing and collection functions when necessary, prepares weekly Financial Aid Transmittals, semester Financial Aid cash disbursements Responsible for keeping Banner bill data and chart files current; oversees online payments and payment plans. Responsible for general ledger reconciliation of A/R trial balances to A/R subsidiary ledger; administers student write off; Oversees and administers Feed to Finance on a daily basis. Responsible for Accounts Receivable Module - Banner and maintaining Touch Net. Responsible for calculation and payment of CRS-1 monthly reports - Gross Receipts Tax and NM state withholding tax; prepares billing for special contracts; prepares Due to/Due from billing for students as well as a monthly Journal Voucher for Child Care state receipts. Keeps Controller informed of any issues that may arise. Performs other duties as deemed necessary or assigned.
