Job Summary: Kennewick, Pasco and Richland school districts, along with Battelle, Washington State University Tri-Cities, Columbia Basin College and the STEM Foundation are looking for a well qualified applicant to fill the position of a Delta Principal.
Qualifications: Current administrative and teaching credential.
Five years of successful experience as a teacher and/or educational adminstator.
Demonstrated ability to establish relationships and work effectively with dierse elements within the community.
Outstanding written and oral communications skills.
Knowledge and experience in working with diverse populations, including special needs, English language learners, and gifted students.
Strong administrative and organizational skills including budgeting, planning, teaming, communicating, problem solving and goal setting.
Skills to appropriately manage personnel and programs, problem solve and communicate effectively.
Demonstrated leadership and experience in supervision and evaluation of staff.
Knowledge and experience in improving plans, and all other state requirements.
Demonstrated ability to use technology to enhance instruction and classroom and school management.
Knowledge and experience with intervention strategies.
Duties: Provides strong instructional leadership to facilitate opportunites for all students to meet or exceed academic standards.
Oversees and manages school adminstrative functions to maintain safe and efficient school operations.
Supervises personnel, monitors studetn performance and achieves the overall objectives of the program.
Facilitates communication and partnerships between employees, students, parents/guardians, and community to evaluate situations, sove problems, and resolve conflicts.
Evaluates staff to achieve standards, maximize performance, and maintain safety.
Porcesses student disciplinary and corrective actions and related matters for the purpose of documenting such actions and adhering to district policies and law.
Utilizes policies, procedures, and regulations of partner school districts.
Develops, maintains, and maximizes community, state, and national connection as an advocate for STEM education.
Communicates vision, mission, and program through public speaking and media outlets.
Fosters collaboration of staff and community partners to promote professional growth.
Facilitates focus on standards and integration of content areas.
Facilitates the collection and use of data in making instrctional decisions.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
