This position is located in the Office of Examination and Insurance, Central Liquidity Facility (CLF), National Credit Union Administration. The incumbent provides technical and administrative support to the Supervisory Financial Analyst (CLF Senior Loan Officer) in the areas of accounting systems and financial information.
Qualifications: You must have one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
To qualify for CU-08: You must have one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU-07 level in the federal or private sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience providing accounting technical assistance, responding to inquiries from internal or external customers and two or more of the following: reconciling general ledger entries; researching accounting discrepancies; extracting financial data; posting daily and monthly vouchers.
Duties: As an Accounting Technician you will:
Make daily cash investments using FedInvest system, monitors investment accounts for periodic interest payments, timely deposits new member cash deposits.
Maintain books, ledgers, journals, and other related accounting documents and files.
Perform balance sheet analysis using spreadsheets to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the monthly financial statements. Assist with monthly, interim and annual financial reporting process.
