Job Summary: Job Purpose: Maintain and support the IT infrastructure at WTVJ / WSCV in Miramar, FL. as well as perform Media Specialist Duties: Ingest feeds, inbound and outbound file transfer, responsible for maintaining and purging Dalet system files. Also provide instruction to Editors, Producers, and other technical engineers.
As an Information Technology Analyst you will provide desktop support for the business units within the station including L2 support on MS office, Outlook, Wide Orbit, and DHCP, not limited to network troubleshooting AD administration.
Qualifications: Computer Science – MIS degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 1 year experience in end-users support.
Minimum 1 year experience troubleshooting and analyzing IP networks, desktops and peripherals.
Minimum 1 year experience in networking protocols, AD authentication TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP.
Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with server/workstation/laptop hardware configuration
Maintenance and repair (Dell, HP, Apple)
Advanced knowledge of Windows XP, Windows 7, 2003/2008 Server, MS Office/Exchange, Acronis,
Duties: Television broadcast industry experience a plus
A Plus certification.
Understanding of encoding, Media Transport, Web interactivity, Automation, NLE, & fiber
Distribution.
Experience with Dalet, Ross Overdrive, Chyron, Leader plus, Final Cut Pro, Omneon, Isilon, Digital Rapid,
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to ever-changing News environment.
Ability to work under pressure in a tight deadline fast paced environment.
Easily adapt to priorities with a heightened sense of responsiveness.
Customer service focus and excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
