Job Summary: Under the supervision of the DON, helps plan, organize and direct the provisioning of Nursing Services at the Healthcare Center.
Qualifications: Education
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
Personal Job-Related Skills
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Licensure, Registry or Certification:
Registered Nurse licensed in the state of TX.
Experience
Experience in supervising nurses required. Minimum two years of nursing experience, with at least one year in a long term care facility required (three years preferred).
Physical and Mental Requirements
Duties of the position require moderate periods of walking and standing. Pushing, pulling, reaching, and bending when involved in resident care. Lifting up to 50 pounds and occasional heavy lifting in supporting or moving residents that may suddenly become weak or helpless.
