Job Summary: This position is responsible for supervising staff and managing all components for an assigned area within the pharmacy.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; scheduling, adjusting personnel to meet work volume needs and service levels, training, employee coaching, performance management, including disciplinary action when needed.
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications
Pharm D or Bachelor of Science Pharmacy Degree.
Current pharmacist license in good standing with the New Mexico Board of Pharmacy.
One to two years of leadership experience in a production or operations environment, health care related field or customer service industry with strong attention to metric driven management and performance.
2-3 years experience with Pharmacy Management System.
Prior experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
Two to five years Supervisory experience of groups of 15 or more employees with accountability for individual and team development and performance management.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Strong focus on customer service, quality and accuracy.
Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in sometimes high-pressure environment.
Ability to work in a fast paced customer service environment.
Duties: Establish and maintain an environment that encourages teamwork, interdependence
and ethical behavior.
Conduct performance reviews, quarterly check-ins and staff 1to1s to guide performance management and employee development efforts and manage toward departmental goals, including quality and process improvement efforts. Address performance related concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.
Coordinate department schedules to ensure appropriate workload and ratio balance, including the after-hours pharmacist on-call strategy.
Supervising the staff responsible for Patient Outreach and Clinical Programs.
Oversee all aspects of the Clinical and Patient Outreach areas, ensuring all service expectations are met.
Analyze trends in calls/PCT requests and provide feedback to pharmacies for improvements.Attend daily production meeting and share issues and observations.
Assist in the establishment and refinement of operating procedures to meet/exceed service levels.Assure documentation of pharmacy processes as well as ensuring timely/consistent updates as necessary.
Identify/develop and implement potential solutions to resolve problems and/or remove barriers that inhibit the department's ability to achieve performance goals.
Maintain a working knowledge of changes in pharmacy practice, laws and drugs applicable to the performance of daily duties.
Resolve escalated issues from members, clients or other entities as needed.
