Job Summary: The Marketing Coordinator, in conjunction with the CVB Marketing Manager will work with the marketing and sales team to support various internal and external marketing and communication projects.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in communications, advertising, marketing, or related field. Three-five years’ experience in marketing, public relations, communications and/or other relative experience.
Must possess a valid driver’s license upon hire and obtain a City of Santa Fe driving permit within three months of hire.
Requires travel and attendance at evening and weekend events.
Demonstrate knowledge brand image development, advertising placement, promotions and marketing; the principles and techniques of tourism promotion: creating and developing effective promotional materials, brochures and media; online media, social media and the internet; writing, spelling, punctuation and grammar; copy editing, basic image editing and design; computer applications, operations and peripheral equipment; sales/marketing; public relations; basic arithmetic; filing, record keeping and standard office practices.
Demonstrate skil in effective communication, both orally and in writing; developing and maintaining interpersonal relations; operating computers, computer software and peripheral devices; prioritizing, organizing and handling several projects at a time; creating and developing promotional materials, brochures and media online and through social and other media; sales and marketing, copy editing, image editing and design; and to work both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to present information clearly and concisely both orally and in writing; establish effective working relationships with associates, business partners and the public; prioritize and execute multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment; and travel locally and overnight to events, meetings and tradeshows.
Duties: Provide assistance in developing marketing plan and presentations including initial kickoff, research and production. Work directly with the marketing team to refine strategy, technical writing, graphics for plan and presentations. Responsible for marketing project calendar and Santa Fe events calendar. Demonstrate proficiency working within existing design templates for plan and presentation assembly and production.
Develop and maintain marketing packets and collateral for presentations and industry shows. Make presentation to individuals, small and large groups.
Coordinate events related to conferences, trade shows, meetings, etc. Keep up to date files, agendas and calendars. Manage promotional inventory related to events. Lead strategy meetings for events. Attend events and trade shows as needed. Make presentation to individuals, small and large groups.
Public Relations support internal and external Media Relations; database management, correspondence, publication tracking and business partner acknowledgement.
Social Media content management and calendar function to include, email blasts, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest as well as other venue as required. Coordinate and support development of social media initiatives and specific projects
Update website and increase the numbers of partners on the CVB website in support of marketing efforts. Review website for required updates and changes on a regular basis.
Development and Coordination of Industry Award Entries and Surveys
Customer Relationship Management (CRM):
Data entry for projects, marketing and press opportunities, leads, contacts, personnel, etc. Produce Marketing Reports and Agendas. Prepare status reports on marketing efforts.
Completes special projects as required.
