Summary: Upward Bound is searching for applicants to fill the position of an Academic Assistant
Must agree to an ENMU Campus Police background check. Submit a completed Application Packet. Also, applicants must complete a clearance to work form through Human Resources. Attendance is mandatory to all scheduled tutor training/orientation and meetings. Recommended ENMU Defensive Driving. Must complete ENMU Partners Training.
Qualifications: Are a lower or upper division undergraduate or graduate student, must maintain a minimum 2.8 GPA, Academic Assistants who tutor are required to have a 3.0 GPA, Completed 48 credit hours and 9 of which are in the tutored subject.
Duties: Contact students/parents as assigned, help update UB webpages, help students register for ACT tests, assist in producing e-newsletters/newsletters, contact/track graduates as assigned, maintain contact log, tutor as assigned (includes day, evening and online), and maintain professional level of confidentiality. Some office work will be required.
