Summary: The goal of the ENLACE (Engaging Latin Community in Education) program at Eastern New Mexico University is to provide tutoring and mentoring to Portales Junior High School, High School, and recreation Center students in the subject of reading, mathematics, English, computers, and other subjects.

Qualifications: Preferred.
Eastern New Mexico University upper classmen (junior or seniors) or graduate students, education major/minor/emphasis preferred, any subject area.

Background check and fingerprints are required. Costs will be covered by the program. If you have completed fingerprint and the background check through the Education program you will not need to do these again.

Duties: Provide tutoring/mentoring to junior high students during the regular school day. Provide support Documentation of academic contact with students, hours of work, and training is required as per grant requirements. Confidentiality is to be maintained at all times. Perform duties with minimum supervision from Coordinator.

During regular public school hours and days, after school at the Recreation center. Totaling no more than 20 hours per week for all ENMU employment, including this position. Applications are available in the Student Success Center (The Alley).
