Summary: Provide peer tutoring assistance in various settings (face-to-face, online, groups, classroom, etc.) to resolve immediate academic needs and to facilitate continued academic success.

Qualifications: Must have earned an overall GPA of 3.0, or at least a 3.4 in the area(s) they wish to tutor
Must have completed a minimum of 30 semester hours
Must receive positive recommendation from two (2) instructors for the discipline(s) they wish to tutor
Must present a copy of college-level transcripts. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable
Must have applied for Financial Aid

Duties: Tutors will coach and guide the learning process, provide a collaborative learning situation, introduce effective study and learning strategies, and attend mandatory training to effectively tutor clients.

Tutors must follow all departmental rules, regulations, tutoring code of ethics, as well as University policies. They are required to maintain a schedule of availability for student appointments, to prepare for sessions, and to develop a professional, honest and comfortable relationship with their clients.

National certification is possible.
