The purpose of the College Affordability Grant is to encourage New Mexico students with financial need, who do not qualify for other state grants or scholarships, to attend and complete educational programs at a public New Mexico college or university. ENMU is proud to participate in the CAG program and looks forward to assisting you with any questions you may have regarding this grant. Below we have included some general requirements for determining student eligibility. This is no way intended to be a comprehensive list of all requirements. What are the eligibility requirements?
- Satisfactory progress
- May receive scholarship for a total of eight(8) consecutive semesters if funding is available
- New Mexico residents
- Undergraduate
- First attend a public New Mexico college or university at any time later than the first semester following high school graduation or the award of a GED.
- Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- May not be receiving any other state grants and scholarships.
- Enroll at least half-time (6 credit hours). Disbursement is prorated for full, three-quarter and half-time.
