Perkins Loan Instructions

If you have not accepted the Perkins Loan, you must first accept the loan award online:

Go to www.enmu.edu.

Click on: Current Students.

Click the link: Check My Financial Aid Status.

Log in using your student id and password. If you need help, call the Helpdesk at 575.562.4357.

Click the link: Student and Financial Aid.

Click the link: Financial Aid.

Click the link: My Award Information.

Click the link: Accept My Award Offer by Aid Year.

Select aid year July 2007–July 2008 or July 2008–July 2009 using the pulldown menu.

Click the Submit button.

Use the Award Decision pulldown menu to accept the loan.  If you only want a portion of the loan instead of the full amount offered, go to the next field and enter the amount you would like to accept.

Click on Accept Full Amount if you have accepted the full amount offered or Submit Decision to submit the partial amount you have selected.

The next screen will show the award amounts you have accepted.

First time borrowers must complete the Perkins Loan Master Promissory Note at www.unisainc.com.

*Fill in all information on the promissory note completely and accurately using your permanent address.

*Be sure to follow the examples of how to fill out each field, (i.e., include the state that issues your drivers license in the field with your license number, entering dashes where indicated, etc.).

First-time borrowers must also complete the Perkins Loan Entrance Counseling at www.mappingyourfuture.org.
