Health Services
Student Health Services assists students in maintaining a positive, healthy lifestyle to achieve academic success. Student Health Services is funded by student activity fees. One hundred percent of our budget is used to deliver quality health care to students.
Hours Of Operation
Our office is open Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. (closed noon to 1 p.m.)while school is in session. Please call 562.2321 to make an appointment. We offer walk-in hours from 8 a.m.-9:30 a.m. on weekdays for students who are ill. You must bring your student ID with a current activity sticker to every appointment. If you do not have your student ID, you may be asked to reschedule.
Our Location
Our office is located in Curry Hall. Look for our sign and come in through the west entrance of the building.
What We Offer
In addition to flu shots, blood tests, prescriptions and a variety of other medical services, we can make health awareness presentations to student groups. We also provide family planning services, pap smears, STI (sexually transmitted infection) screening and treatment, and contraception products. As with any medical clinic, we assure complete confidentiality.
We believe preventing infection is very important and we offer immunizations at cost to ENMU students. The meningitis vaccine (Menectra) is strongly recommended for first-time students who will be living in dorms or in group living facilities. Two doses of MMR (measles-mumps-rubella) vaccine is needed to protect students from these contagious diseases. We recommend that you complete the Immunization Form and call or drop in to find out if an update is needed.
ENMU does not endorse a particular health insurance plan. Your office visits at Health Services are provided at little or no cost to you. However, we encourage all students to have health insurance for unexpected illness or injury. Click on the link above to get you started.
Please review the 2007-2008 Student Handbook for additional information.
