Application Procedures

The following information will assist you in understanding the ENMU application process:

  • Applications will be accepted only when there is a position open.
  • A separate application is required for each position.
  • You may submit photocopies of your application for different positions.
  • If you require a copy of your application, please make a copy prior to submitting it.
  • Human Resources charges 10 cents per copy.
  • Applications are valid only for specific openings and cannot be transferred to another position.

Applications

Your application must be filled out completely. "See resume" is insufficient; however, resumes and references may be attached to applications. Documents included with your application become the property of Eastern New Mexico University and cannot be returned under any circumstances.

Deadline Dates

Some position openings are posted with closing dates and all applications must be received in our office by the close of that workday (5 p.m.) or other specified time on those dates. Mailed applications received after this date, regardless of postmarks, will not be considered.

Review of Applications

All applications are reviewed by a search committee after the closing date. Candidates for interviews will be contacted by telephone. Because of large applicant pools and the number of qualified applicants, you may not be contacted for an interview each time you apply.

Notification

If your application is not successful, you will be notified by mail.

Secretarial and Clerical Applicants

A typed letter of interest must accompany each application.

New Mexico is an open records state. It is the policy of the University to reveal to the public the identities of the applicants for whom outside inquiries have been made or for whom on-campus interviews are scheduled, after having notified the candidate of our intent to do so.
