Personal Web Pages
Students and employees of ENMU have the privilege of obtaining Personal web page accounts and having their web pages published on the net. The terms and conditions of this account can be found in the Personal Web Page Agreement [link - below]. Personal web page account packages may be obtained at the Lab Assistant's desk in the University Computer Center.

Who can have a personal web page account?
An ENMU student, employee or someone requesting an account for an officially recognized ENMU-related group or organization may apply.
How do I get an account?
The information and agreement packages are located at the Lab Assistant's desk in the University Computer Center. Read, complete and sign a Personal Web Page Agreement. Your account name and password will be processed to you via your email. Allow 5 days from time of the request to receive your email message.
How do I put my pages on the Personal Page Server?
You will need to FTP (file transfer protocol) your pages to your account for them to be accessible. For information on how to use FTP ask a lab assistant for help or use the WSftp Tutor.
What is the address of the Personal Web Server?
The address of the server is: wwwstd.enmu.edu. This is the address that you will use when you want to upload your pages.
Is there anything specific that must appear on my personal web page?
Yes - on the top of each personal page the following must
appear:
"Notice! This is NOT an official Eastern New Mexico University home
page."
The last line of all personal pages must provide an embedded link to the
University Personal Web Page Disclaimer and the Personal Web Page Agreement.

Eastern New Mexico University takes no responsibility for the content, accuracy or availability of the information contained in personal pages on this server. Any comments related to the contents of such pages should be directed to the author of the personal pages.
Personal Web Page Agreement
This Agreement is between Eastern New Mexico University (the University) and the user (User) of the University Personal World Wide Web (Web) Pages services who has signed at the end of this Agreement. If User is an organization the organization shall designate an individual to be responsible for the format of the personal Web pages; and that person shall sign this agreement.
Recitals
The personal Web pages served by the University personal
server are accessible by Internet users around the world and are subject
to all local, state, federal, and international law, as well as University
policy.
It is necessary to distinguish between the official University Web pages,
which represent the University, and the personal Web pages which may contain
individual opinion and other content not related to the University.
The University personal Web pages service is made available through the
use of public funds which are provided for educational purposes.
For those and other reasons, it is important that the obligations of both
the User and the University be clearly understood. Therefore, the University
and the User, whose signature appears below, agree to the following:
Terms and Conditions
- The University shall provide personal Web pages services to User pursuant to the policies and procedures of the University and the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
- User understands that the University's computer resources, including the personal Web server and network, are publicly funded and are provided to User as a privilege, not a right.
- All contents of the personal Web pages of User shall be the sole responsibility of User and User's personal Web pages shall prominently display the paragraph provided by the University disclaiming any responsibility for the contents of the personal pages on the part of the University. Additionally:
- o The following lines shall be inserted by the User at the top of each personal page: "Notice! This is NOT an official Eastern New Mexico University home page."
- And, the last line of all personal pages must provide an imbedded link to the University's personal Web page disclaimer and the contents of this Agreement.
- The content of User's personal pages shall adhere to the University Computer Use Policies and Procedures. User's signature below verifies that the User has read and agreed to the terms and conditions of that policy.
- The content of Web pages are public, and User agrees that by posting the pages he or she makes them available to the public.
- User's E-mail address shall be displayed on each personal Web page.
- CGI-BIN scripts, other than those provided by the University, are not permitted on the personal Web page server.
- The University may limit the amount of space that is provided on the server.
- User's personal Web pages shall be removed from the server no later than one semester after User leaves the University.
- User's personal Web pages shall only reside on the University's personal Web server. Pages containing links to other machines, within the University's domain, for purposes of displaying personal Web pages shall be disabled. All access from official University Web pages to personal Web pages must occur through a common page that is provided by the University; no direct links are permitted.
- The University personal Web page server shall act only as a repository for personal Web pages. No other use is permitted.
- Any violation by User of the terms and conditions of this Agreement may result in the imposition of sanctions, including those stated in paragraph 17 of the University Computer Use Policies and Procedures and/or revocation of the privilege granted by the University in this Agreement.
