Goals of Title V Partnering Institutions
Academic Program Objectives
- ENMU and CCC will collaborate with area K-12 education providers to improve their students' success, retention, and degree completion.
- ENMU and CCC will develop a more inclusive curriculum that recognizes and draws on the cultural wealth of the populations served.
- ENMU and CCC will collaborate to more effectively enlist students in a teacher education program, provide a strong academic foundation in the first two years and facilitate a successful transition in ENMU's teacher preparation program.
- ENMU and CCC will collaborate to provide an integrated system of postsecondary education for residents of the area served by CCC.
- ENMU and CCC will devise and implement strategies to ensure that Hispanic and other minority students have opportunities to persist and complete higher education programs at rates comparable to those of any other population group.
- The partners will develop and improve methods for assessing the post-transfer success of students who transfer to ENMU.
- The partners will collaborate to align curricula, develop more efficient advisement for students pursuing baccalaureate degrees and otherwise provide clear paths for students intending to transfer.
- Services for underprepared students will be improved to facilitate greater levels of student success.
Institutional Management Goals
- Current technology for distance learning, including instructional television, will be installed and supported in strategic locations to make postsecondary education, including baccalaureate level programs, more readily available to rural residents of northeastern New Mexico.
- The partners will improve access to ENMU and CCC through effective recruitment and retention activities.
- Through this use of online placement tests, telephone and online advisement, Web registration, and other means, ENMU and CCC will provide essential student support services to participants in distance learning programs.
- ENMU and CCC will pursue productive partnerships with business, industry and public education, to better utilize all available resources to maximize benefits for students and other clients.
- ENMU and CCC will develop information and information technology resources to optimize resources for learning and maximize information about transfer opportunities.
- ENMU and CCC will develop the capacity to track and document student progress in baccalaureate and graduate studies following transfer.
- ENMU and CCC will support their institutional missions by providing equipment, materials, facilities, training and personnel sufficient to deliver high quality educational programs and services.
