Summary: Peer Mentors are sensible, confident, and reliable students with good social skills. They provide positive one-on-one relationships with guidance and support for fellow students. They help students to navigate the university environment and to adapt to campus life by supplying academic and social support. They are sensitive to the specific needs of each student served by CSP and are familiar with resources available to facilitate a successful college experience.
Description of Duties:
•Attend all scheduled training sessions
• Learn all paperwork required of CSP student employees
• Meet regularly with the Intervention Specialist, Mentor Coordinator
• Provide individual support and information to students in the CSP
• Refer students to appropriate campus services (e.g., CSP professional staff, Academic Advising, Financial Aid,
Tutoring, Disability Services) for further assistance and information
• Assist in the assessment of student needs
• Attend all scheduled mentor meetings
• Participate in the implementation of workshops designed to meet the needs of CSP participants
• Participate with mentees in CSP programs
• Maintain records of contact as required by the CSP
Qualifications:
• Maintain a minimum CUM GPA of 3.0
• Perform effectively in peer helping relationships
• Work effectively with others, both individually and in groups
• Desire to help other students
• Maintain confidentiality
• Sensitive to the uniqueness of each individual
• Understand the University and its services and have the ability to make appropriate referrals
• Workstudy is preferred

Summary: Office Aids are sensible, confident, and reliable students with good social skills. They work closely with the Director and are capable of following specific instructions and completing tasks with confidentiality.
Description of Duties: The office aid will work directly with students and staff, providing courteous, friendly and professional assistance. Typical duties will include assisting students, answering phones, running various errands, making deliveries, tracking records and performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Computer experience and use of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to prioritise tasks
• Possess good communication skills
• Maintain confidentiality
• Understand the University and its services and have the ability to make appropriate referrals
• Full-time student at ENMU
• Demonstrated leadership, management and decision making skills
• Willingness to take on new challenges
