Upward Bound Eligibility

Eligible students must live in the attendance zones for Mescalero, Hondo, Ruidoso, Clovis, Texico, Dora, Floyd, Elida, Broad Horizons and Portales high schools. Students must be currently enrolled in ninth, 10th or 11th grade.

In addition, eligible applicants must either meet the low-income criteria as set by the U.S. Department of Education or be potential first-generation college graduates. In addition, applicants must demonstrate an academic or personal need for the project such that a postsecondary education would be an unattainable goal without their participation.
