Title: Assistant Professor of Environmental Science
Office Location: RSC 253
Phone: 575.562.2651
Bio
Dr. Emmanuella Anang is an Assistant Professor of Environmental Science in the Department of Physical Sciences (College of Liberal Arts and Sciences). She serves as a faculty advisor for undergraduate students pursuing Environmental Science and graduate students pursuing Chemistry. She has a B.S and M.S in Environmental Science from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and a Ph.D in Mineral and Mining Engineering from Wuhan University of Science and Technology. Prior to joining ENMU, she expanded her research repertoire as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Central Michigan University. At ENMU, Dr. Anang teaches advanced environmental science coursework and advises undergraduate and graduate students navigating their degree pathways.
Her research includes water treatment, surface and ground water quality analyses, material synthesis, polymer membranes, nanomaterials, heavy metals, and nutrients. She has published several peer-reviewed papers on water pollution, water filtration technologies and pollutant removal. Driven by a passion for sustainability, Dr. Anang is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of environmental scientists and contributing to global solutions for clean water and safer engineering practices. She aims to make environmental science accessible, practical and highly impactful for the Greyhound community.

Oluniyi Fadare
Title: Assistant Professor of Chemistry

Bio
Dr. Oluniyi Fadare is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry in the Department of Physical Sciences, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, at Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU). He teaches undergraduate and graduate chemistry courses, mentors students in research, and serves on graduate thesis committees. His teaching emphasizes connecting fundamental chemical principles with real-world applications while helping students develop the problem-solving, laboratory, and critical-thinking skills needed for successful careers in science.
Dr. Fadare?s research sits at the intersection of environmental, analytical, and materials chemistry, with an emphasis on emerging contaminants and their implications for environmental and human health. His research interests include micro- and nanoplastics, tire wear particles, tire-derived chemicals such as 6PPD-quinone, per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), and other contaminants of emerging concern. He also develops functional materials, including magnetic nanoparticles and covalent organic frameworks, for contaminant isolation, analysis, and removal.
His interdisciplinary research integrates environmental monitoring, advanced chemical analysis, materials synthesis and characterization, water treatment, and toxicological assessment. He has published peer-reviewed research and collaborates with scientists across institutions on projects addressing water quality, stormwater pollution, emerging contaminants, and environmental health. He also contributes to the broader scientific community as an Editor for Environmental Sciences Europe.
At ENMU, Dr. Fadare is passionate about creating opportunities for students to learn science by doing science. He actively involves undergraduate and graduate students in research, scientific conferences, presentations, and professional development. His goal is to make chemistry accessible, engaging, and relevant to the Greyhound community while preparing students to become confident scientists and critical thinkers who can address complex environmental challenges.
