The College of Education and Technology is involved in a variety of special programs. Several of these are done in partnership with other entities. They all are designed to expand the learning opportunities of students, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Graduate Level Endorsement Areas

The College of Education and Technology offers two 12-hour graduate-level programs leading to endorsement in a field of study. If you have a bachelor's degree, you can take these courses as a stand-alone endorsement, or they can be folded into a master's degree. Find out more about program options:

ENMU Educators Hall of Honor

The ENMU Educators Hall of Honor celebrates teachers whose passion for education is evidenced by a talent for inspiring students through a shared community of knowledge, exploration and confidence in one's ability and potential. An ideal nominee would be an alumna/us of ENMU, living or deceased, active or retired, with an earned education degree (or the equivalent such as secondary licensure within a content degree) with a demonstrable record of professional accomplishments, exceptional character and significant community service. The nomination deadline is generally in June of each year. Nominations are reviewed by a committee of ENMU administrations, faculty, staff, emeritus faculty and ENMU Foundation personnel. For more information, please email Dr. Lee Hurren, dean of the College of Education and Technology.

Child Development Center

The Child Development Center (CDC) has served as a laboratory school for ENMU since 1949, not only for the childcare needs of the campus and community but also to provide college students with a research facility for those who study child development. The facility offers ENMU students the opportunity for observation and experience to learn in an environment responsive to children's individual needs and interests as well as their physical, emotional, social and cognitive development stages.

Lifelong Wellness Workshops

ENMU has developed a program that supports individual efforts to enhance well-being and quality of life. The first step is a for-credit course offered for faculty, staff and community members. Our Lifelong Wellness Workshops are designed to help you start a physical activity program, increase the effectiveness of your current program or develop your skills to expand physical activity into new areas.
