The Department of Curriculum and Instruction plays an essential role in preparing you to be successful, problem-solving and proactive in your career as an educator. We offer undergraduate and graduate degrees that can lead to your obtaining licensure for careers in the K-12 school setting.

This department shares the elementary/special education curriculum with the Department of Educational Studies. This is a unique, blended program that will provide you with a wealth of knowledge in general elementary and special education strategies, instruction and assessment. In addition, offer several endorsements including language arts, reading/literacy, bilingual education and English as a second language (ESL).

ENMU offers a master's of education degree with a variety of emphasis areas. These include bilingual education, ESL, educational technology, elementary education, pedagogy and learning, career and technical education and reading/literacy.

Additionally, elementary alternative licensure coursework and completion are offered through this department. The program is 21 graduate credit hours in length and you can apply coursework from licensure program toward a master's degree in elementary education or with a concentration in pedagogy and learning.
