Do you ever wonder why are some countries rich and some countries poor, or what happened in 2008 to cause the worst recession since the 1930s? Are you interested in why income and wealth become more unequally distributed over the past few decades? As your parents age, do you wonder how the population aging will affect life in the coming decades? If you have known someone whose job has been replaced with an automated system, do you wonder how the workforce will change with advances in robotics, automation and artificial intelligence? The American Economic Association says these are questions that economists can study and find answers to. If you want to be part of finding those answers, a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in applied economics and finance is an excellent starting point.

Learning Format For Applied Economics and Finance

Our BBA in economics and finance can be completed 100% online, with students completing assignments, readings, tests and projects throughout the semester. Recorded lectures via Mediasite will connect you with professors and other students. Student participation, using Mediasite, Canvas and Collaborate is done both during actual class time and on your own time. This means some classes will flex around your schedule, while others give you the benefit of engaging with professors and peers during class time.
