Communications Major Likes ENMU's ‘Amazing People and Opportunities'

Andrew Stevens attends Eastern New Mexico University as the next step toward his career as a broadcast director or audio technician.

He was born in Roswell, New Mexico, and raised in Alamogordo, New Mexico, with his older sister, who also attends Eastern. His dad worked in Albuquerque for the second half of Andrew's high school career, so he lived with only his mom for a while. He admires his parents because they set "an excellent example."

He graduated from high school in 2016.

The freshman is majoring in communications with an emphasis in broadcast production and plans to graduate in May of 2020.

He was on the Dean's List in fall 2016 and participates in various activities at the Baptist Student Union. He also landed a job as a psychology research assistant in spring of 2017.

In his free-time, Andrew likes goofing off with his friends and creating original music.

He recommends ENMU to future students because of its amazing people and opportunities.

"The professors are so accommodating and willing to help students. They always give students hands-on opportunities," he said.
