Come help us celebrate 75 years of success by entering The Alumni Show. This is a non-juried exhibition for any Eastern New Mexico University graduate. There is no theme to the show and there are no prizes. Show off your Eastern pride and participate!

Eligibility:

The show is open to any artist who has graduated from Eastern New Mexico University. Each artist is limited to one entry. All media can be entered. The work must be original, completed within the last five years, and not previously shown at ENMU. All participants must have an e-mail address.

Size restrictions: Pieces must fit easily through a standard doorway.

Pieces that are two-dimensional must also be framed or matted in professional manner. Frames are strongly preferred where applicable. Two-dimensional work must have hanging methods and materials attached and in place. Three-dimensional work needs to be stable. All work will need to be ready to display. All work must be labeled with the artist's name, title of work, medium and price.

Media restrictions: no work requiring electricity (media arts excluded) to function, use water, or that involve food can be accepted and no work that requires hanging or suspension from the ceiling.

Complete entries will include:

  1. CD
    Label your CD with: Name, Phone, and E-mail.
    CD should contain:
    • Images:
      • Your CD should contain a .jpg image for the artwork you are submitting to the show.
      • Files should be sized to 300 dpi.
      • Files should be saved as .jpg.
      • Label each file as such: Lastname_Firstname_1
      • Images should not include any personal information such as name, web site, or URL.
    • Artist’s Statement:
      • An MS Word file of your Artist's Statement no longer than 100 words.
      • Labeled as such: Lastname_Firstname_Artist's Statement

    CDs will not be returned.

    • Your artist’s statement should be no longer than 100 words.

Artist Responsibilities:

  • Artists will be contacted by e-mail.
  • Artists in show will be posted on-line at: www.enmu.edu/services/museums/runnels/index.shtml
  • Artists are responsible for all shipping charges.
  • Artists are responsible for shipping their work in reusable boxes.
  • Work will be exhibited in the Runnels Gallery of ENMU.

Delivery of Works:

  • Artists are responsible for shipping or hand delivering their work by the designated dates and times.
  • All shipments must be prepaid or they will not be accepted.
  • All 2-D work must be properly wired for hanging. No saw tooth hangers will be accepted.
  • All 3-D work must be stable.
  • Return shipping must be enclosed with the artwork.

Return of Works:

  • Artwork return is the financial responsibility of the artist.
  • Artwork will be returned via a prepaid carrier label from United States Postal Service (USPS) or UPS provided by the artist and paid by the artist.
  • No USPS return metered labels. If shipping USPS, use postage stamps for full value.
  • All artwork must have appropriate paperwork and shipper bar scans.
  • Work for which return shipping is not received by close of exhibition will include a $20.00 per day storage fee.
  • All work unclaimed 30 days after the close of the exhibition, will become the property of the ENMU Art Department.

Liability:

ENMU will exercise due care in handling all work submitted. ENMU, the Runnels Gallery or any of their agents will not be responsible for loss or damage to any work, whether such work is on display, in storage, or in transit. All work must remain on display until the close of the exhibition. ENMU assumes the right to photograph any work or use submitted jpegs for catalog or publicity purposes. Images of work in the exhibition might also be displayed online at the Runnels’ website.

The submission of work to this exhibit will be understood to imply agreement and consent on the part of the artist or agent with the conditions set forth in this prospectus.

ENMU does not receive any commission from artwork sold.
