University Art at Eastern New Mexico University fosters creativity, learning, and community engagement through the stewardship of the University Art Collection and the presentation of exhibitions in the Runnels Gallery. Located within the Golden Student Success Center (GSSC), University Art connects students, faculty, staff, alumni, and surrounding communities with meaningful visual art experiences.
Through exhibitions, collections stewardship, artist talks, workshops, and educational programming, University Art provides access to diverse creative voices and perspectives. Featuring artwork by students, faculty, alumni, regional artists, and invited guest artists, we seek to inspire curiosity, creativity, and dialogue while strengthening connections between art, education, and community.
At University Art, we believe art is more than something to observe. Creative engagement and participation are essential to discovery, learning, and personal expression. Whether visiting an exhibition, exploring the University Art Collection, or participating in a hands-on program, we invite all visitors to connect with the transformative power of art.
The Runnels Gallery hosts year-round exhibitions and is open during Golden Student Success Center hours of operation. Admission is free and open to the public.
