The Associated Students of ENMU (ASENMU) provides students a voice in University governance and helps provide services for students. ASENMU is made up of three branches: the executive branch, the legislative branch and the judicial branch.
The Executive branch is comprised of a president, his/her board of directors and a vice president. The legislative branch is the student senate consisting of elected representatives from each of the colleges. The judicial branch consists of an attorney general and a supreme court.
Student Body President Joshua Alvarez
"I am very excited to work with an amazing senate that will fully represent the student body in all matters and execute all plans for the betterment of the University and students."
Alvarez is a third year communicative disorders major with an emphasis in health and human services. He originated from Randleman, NC and has attended ENMU since graduating high school in Chaparral, New Mexico.
Alvarez has been a part of ASENMU for over a year; his ASENMU leadership positions have included student lobbyist and board member of the student fee allocation board. He also attended the One Big Thanks Conference at Texas A&M to learn more about community service.
Student Government Meetings and Documents
The elected student government senate distributes senate bills to various student organizations, individual students and makes recommendations to the administration on University policy.
