Early Childhood Birth to Pre-K, Non-Licensure

A Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education with an emphasis in birth-PreK (non-licensure) opens the door for you if you are committed to learning how to provide excellence in early care, early education and family support. The program is designed to provide you with knowledge and skills you need to create optimal learning environments for children, birth through age 4.

This will result in your gaining a deep understanding of human development, the whole child, and the contexts in which a child develops.

As part of this program, you will complete practicum experiences which will give you the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and insight from teachers already working in the field.

A degree in early childhood education with an emphasis in birth to Pre-K (non-licensure) can lead you to careers where you provide direct services to young children (from birth through age 4) and their families, as well as to careers in which you administer these programs and to careers in which you provide professional development for these individuals.

Upper-division coursework for this program is offered online. Transfer students may be able to complete the program 100% online if transfer credits satisfy lower-division program requirements.
