2016 Guest of Honor, Victor Milán

A former cowboy, former rock D.J., and current Yale dropout, Victor Milán says, "What I mostly do is write." And how. The Washington Post calls Milán a "contender for major stardom" in science fiction. Victor Milán has published over sixty novels, including Runespear, co-authored with Melinda Snodgrass, technothriller Red Sands (1992), the Wild Cards novel Turn of the Cards (1993), and the Star Trek novel From the Depths (1993). Milan’s current project is the six-volume Dinosaur Lords series, launched by The Dinosaur Lords (July 2015) with Dinosaur Knights due for release July 2016.

Milán has published several SF series, including Rogue Angel series (under the name Alex Archer), Guardians series (as Richard Austin), Stormrider series (as Robert Baron), Battletech series, Mechwarrior series, the Donovan Steele series (as S. L. Hunter), the War of Power series (co-authored with Robert E. Vardeman) and the award-winning The Cybernetic Samurai and its sequel, The Cybernetic Shogun.

A charter member of the New Mexico-based Wild Cards Mafia, Milán helped create the acclaimed SF shared-world anthologies of the same name. Eastern New Mexico University and the Williamson Lectureship Committee proudly welcome Victor Milán as our guest of honor for 2016.
