An applied arts and sciences major's time frame for degree completion varies with the individual student, but in general, you can complete your BAAS degree in two years.

Also, if you are certified law enforcement employee, you can receive college credit for your New Mexico law enforcement training and certification. This credit will be applied to satisfy the BAAS primary concentration requirement. To take advantage of this, you must present a certified copy of the certification information issued by the state of New Mexico.

If you are a current or former military service member, you can request the American Council on Education (ACE) to review your military training and experience for credit recommendations. You may be awarded college credit awarded based on the ACE recommendation, and the credit(s) will apply to your primary concentration requirement.
