The political science faculty is committed to helping you craft a major course of study that meets national standards of study and highlights their areas of interest – American government, law, public policy, international relations, theory or comparative government.
Opportunities for internships within the chosen area of interest are available to all qualified majors.
Scholarships and Financial Assistance
When it comes to financing your education, ENMU is here to help! Over 80% of our students receive some sort of financial assistance, and we can help you find out if you qualify for any grants, loans or scholarships. If you are majoring in political science, there are also two additional scholarships for which you can apply: the Navin Sinha Memorial Scholarship and the Political Science Merit Scholarship. Additionally, there are many part-time jobs available to help you with your living expenses and tuition.

Political science majors qualify for a variety of careers in the private or public sectors, including careers in:

High School Courses
As a political science major, you'll need to be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, think critically about information and ideas, and work easily with groups. History and civics courses will give you background knowledge in many of the areas you will study at the undergraduate level.
