Eastern New Mexico University's international students currently represent 26 different countries, including Canada, China, Denmark, Ghana, India, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Brazil and more. With a strong focus on cultural diversity and enrichment, we encourage students to learn and network through engaging courses and events with people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. Our faculty and staff support this mission in and out of the classroom, promoting educational success and cultural diversity.
ENMU Has Second-Lowest International Student Tuition in the U.S.
With student visa fees rising from $200 to $350 in June 2019, the already high cost to study in the U.S. will be higher. Of 976 schools that reported international student tuition to U.S. News in an annual survey, ENMU is the only Southwest region school to make the list. Notably, the third-ranked school costs over $1,000 more per semester. (see who made the list)
Summer English Program
New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and the New Mexico Department of Health announced that New Mexico residents tested presumptive positive (still awaiting confirmatory test to guard against false-positives) for COVID-19. While there are no cases of COVID-19 at the ENMU-Portales campus, our decisions are always guided with the safety of our campus and the health and well-being of our students, faculty, staff, and visitors in mind.
With this, we are sad to announce that our ENMU Summer Intensive English Program has been canceled, as the ENMU community continues to take precautions to help reduce risk of exposure.
